Torch Awards was held at the Wilshire Grand, honoring United Parcel Service, Bob and Faye Davidson, Evern Cooper Epps, Holly Robinson Peete, Al B.Sure and Airman 1st Class Michael and Yolanda Fletcher, the 2008 Adopt-A-Family.

Computers 101: Techno1ogy For Life begins Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays during the month of April.

Ladies Jacqueline Castillo, Patricia Gibson and Yolanda Fletcher (2008 Adopt-A-Family) finalize housing for family in Jacksonville, FL. The Legacy Ladies secured and paid for housing for one year in order to give the family a new lease on life, in addition to purchasing a vehicle for the family.

The annual “A Date in May” was held to provide workshops to seniors at Crenshaw High School on financial literacy, etiquette, HIV/AIDS awareness, and “life after high school.”
June 6, 2008
The organization’s service year ends with a retreat in Las Vegas, to begin strategic planning of the 2009 Torch Awards and other programs and initiatives.
September 7, 2008
The service year begins with continued discussion of new programs and projects to implement. Prospective members begin coordinating city wide service project.
October 7, 2008
The Legacy Ladies induct three new members into the organization: Jacqueline Berryman, Rhonda Cotton and Linda Fuller.

A reception to kick-off the 5th anniversary of Legacy Ladies, Inc., called “Rodeo After Hours,” was held at St. John Boutique in Beverly Hills.
