True to our mission of continuing to transform the lives of disenfranchised young women in the Los Angeles area; Legacy Ladies will use the proceeds of this Charity Golf Tournament to provide scholarships to seniors who are pursuing a career in the medical profession.
The underrepresentation of African American health care professionals has been widely discussed and is critical for several reasons:
Diversity in healthcare leads to more equitable and unbiased care.
Approximately 3% of the doctors in California are African American, which is lower than the national average of 5%.
Black patients can better relate to African American professionals, potentially improving health outcomes.
More African American doctors, nurses and technicians can help reduce the barriers to healthcare access and quality that are currently experienced by many African American patients.
Increased representation of African American health care professionals can inspire future generations to pursue healthcare careers and continue to foster a more diverse and culturally competent workforce.

Your participation or donation will help us address this very important need in our community. For additional information go to www.Legacyladiesinc.com. We look forward to seeing you at our Fifth Annual Charity Golf Tournament!
Warm Regards,
